The Subnet Calculator needs JavaScript to compute in your browser. It is client-only. The same maths is available offline via the subnet-cli command-line tool, which also takes IPv6 CIDRs (--6) and can list a block's hosts (--hosts).

Pick IPv4 or IPv6, enter an address and prefix (CIDR, e.g. 192.168.1.0/24 or 2001:db8::/48) and see the network and (for IPv4) broadcast addresses, netmask, the address range, and both the total and usable host counts. Two IPv4 breakouts sit below: Show hosts pages the usable addresses, and the Visor splits and joins the block into subnets.

Use it locally This tool has a native command line twin. Build subnet-cli from the site's source with:
