Pet Rock

A desktop pet rock that does nothing, wrapped in an endlessly escalating, absurdly formal diagnostics and settings interface. The rock stays a rock.

The Pet Rock needs JavaScript to draw and diagnose your rock in the browser. It is client-only. The same rock + diagnostics are available offline via the pet-rock-cli command-line tool.

Use it locally This toy has a native command line twin. Build pet-rock-cli from the site's source with:

cargo build --release --bin pet-rock-cli
