Crontab Builder

Two directions, both in your browser: explain a standard 5-field cron expression (minute hour day-of-month month day-of-week) in plain language, or build one from the fields or from a phrase.

This is generated in browser and is not sent to pah.moi servers.

About this tool2 paragraphs

Explain takes a pasted expression and gives a plain-language summary plus a per-field breakdown, with the expression validated. Build takes the fields, or the schedule in words, and gives you the crontab line. That line goes straight back through the explainer, so you always see what it will actually do.

Either way you also get a preset library of common schedules, an execution-cycle diagram marking the minutes, hours, days, months and weekdays the line matches, and a preview of the next runs on your own clock.
