Data Centre Dungeon

You are the night engineer on a data-centre floor: type a seed, press [ Start shift ], and triage what the night throws at your one crew until 06:00. The shift report grades the whole night.

Underneath it is the same simulation it has always been: racks pour out heat, cooling units fight it, hot racks trip and fail, and faults cascade, then reversibly recover as the room cools. When no shift is running the floor simply runs itself, which is what it does before you start, after 06:00, and any time the queue is clear. Click a rack (or press [ Inspect hotspot ]) to read one piece of equipment: its status, temperature and what it is doing. The same seed always runs the same floor and the same night.
